| Unfortunately, every day, thousands of seniors on fixed incomes are forced to make tough decisions about whether to spend their money on necessary home maintenance or on other critical items such as prescription medications.
Crater's Weatherization/Winterization Program, can help to eliminate the need to make those difficult choices by improving public access to affordable repairs.
A prime focus of this program is on improving the housing conditions of our elderly and disabled clients by removing safety hazards in their homes as well as making their homes more accessable to them. The program also helps cut power and gas bills by making homes more energy efficient.
Repairs Consist of:
- Inspection, repair and/or replacement of heating systems
- Installing attics, sidewall and heating duct installation
- Replacing missing window panes and doors
- Sealing cracks in exterior walls
- Plumbing repairs
- Electrical repairs
